Alacrity Services focuses on training in development with children, youths, and educators.
We believe in support educators with resources that enable them to perform their jobs better. We are experienced in developing curriculum materials for PAL, Leadership Development (Servant Leadership, The Leadership Challenge) as well as VIA.
Our Student Programmes use student-friendly language and activities. We convert complex concepts into bite-size knowledge and skills, which are carefully scaffolded to support their learning.
We offer a range of educator workshops covering a range of skills such as:
We work collaborative with teachers when developing the curriculum. The process includes consultation, developing lesson plans, lesson material including slides and handout.
We provide scaffolding to support teachers in implementing the lesson plan. This may include co-delivery, pre-lesson briefing as well as hand-holding sessions
Based on the lesson plan, we also develop the necessary manipulatives, card games and necessary props to support the lesson plan.
Students learn best through play, interaction, and exploration. We minimize chalk and talk approach of teaching. We focus on experiential learning and play pedagogy to keep students interested and motivated.
Our workshops are developed through brain compatible strategies such as error correction before consolidating, state management, social learning and space for consolidation.
Facilitation is fast becoming a critical skill for educators. The idea of the educator holding all the knowledge is not longer a valid belief. Instead of provision of knowledge, we are moving towards facilitating of understanding and conversations.
One of our core pedagogy is Inquiry Approach to Learning. This is aligned with our educators facilitating understanding and conversation.
Inquiry approach guide our educators in questioning and scaffold our learners through various stages of inquiry.
